Weekend ice cream recipe-Butter Pecan Ice Cream

A busy week. Why do not you eat ice cream to relax? What about butter pecan ice cream?

What we need:

2 cups whole milk
4 egg yolks
1 and 1/2 cups brown sugar
Pinch of salt
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cups whipping cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup pecans, chopped
1/3 cup sugar

Everything is ready, Let us make ice cream first. Prepare a medium-sized saucepan, whisk milk, egg yolks, brown sugar, and salt together in it. Place pan over medium-high heat until mixture reaches a simmer. Lower heat to medium & whisk mixture for 5 minutes or until it begins to thicken. Strain mixture into a large bowl and whisk in 2 tablespoons unsalted butter until combined. Then incorporate cream, and vanilla. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until the mixture chilled ( about 2 hours ).

Then let us prepare candied butter pecans. Prepare a heavy skillet over medium heat, put combine pecans, sugar, and the rest (2 tablespoons) butter in it. Stirring constantly for about 6 minutes or until sugar has melted a-nd browned. Remove the skillet from heat, spread nuts on foil. Once nuts have cooled, break into bite-size pieces and reserve.

Now Pour ice cream mixture into an ice cream machine, a-nd freeze according to the instructions of manufacturer. After ice cream is done, stir in reserved pecans. Now, we can enjoy!
